David Moyes was absolutely fuming with Said Benrahma during the West Ham vs Gent clash at the London Stadium tonight.

West Ham winger Said Benrahma was really poor in the first-half against Gent tonight, and David Moyes really wasn’t happy.

Lucy Ward noticed how the Algerian’s poor pressing from the front inside the first-half really angered Moyes.

Ward shared exactly what the Scot did after Benrahma allowed the Gent defender to pass him with ease when he was boxed in, when speaking on BT Sport (Thursday April 20th, 8:45pm):

“David Moyes just threw his bottle down on the floor then when Benrahma allowed the Gent player to get past him far too easily.”

I’m Benrahma’s biggest fan, I really am. But even I can’t defend his poor performance tonight.

The 27-year-old just wasn’t at the races against Gent, it really was as simple as that.

I have blamed David Moyes for his treatment of Benrahma in the past, but the Scot was spot on to let his frustrations with the winger be known tonight. He really does have to do so much better.

We all know just how good he can be, that’s what makes him so frustrating at times.

Hopefully Benrahma’s performance tonight was a one off and he returns to his best against Bournemouth this weekend, if he plays of course.
