Tony Bellew has sent a strong message to the West Ham United fans about David Moyes on his official X account.
West Ham United manager David Moyes is under real pressure right now, and rightly so after a woeful run of form from his side, but Tony Bellew has stood up for the Scot.
The Hammers board are thought to be seriously unhappy with the current goings on at West Ham, and they were particularly unimpressed with Moyes’s comments after our defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
West Ham have been in free fall since we beat Arsenal at the Emirates on December 28th, and the fact that Moyes didn’t bring in any new attacking signings in January has played a big part in our recent downfall.
The Scot’s negative approach to games and his defeatist pre-match rhetoric is starting to ware extremely thin with even the most ardent of ‘Moyes In’ fans.
There is a real movement at the London Stadium now, I would say a majority, who want Moyes gone. Don’t worry though lads, Tony Bellew has told us to be careful what we wish for…
Tony Bellew sends message to West Ham fans on X
The former heavyweight boxer took to his official X account last night in support of Moyes.
Bellew posted the following message to the Hammers fans:
I cannot stand this ‘be careful what you wish for’ argument. Absolutely nothing is guaranteed in life. Can you imagine a struggling business refusing to make a change at the top of the tree when there are clear issues at management level?
Sure, if we were sitting inside the top four and playing some brilliant stuff, I wouldn’t be asking for a change of manager! But we’re not – we haven’t won a game in our last eight attempts, and have only scored one goal from open play during that period.
The football is absolutely dire and it belongs in a bygone era. There is absolutely no future under David Moyes.
Bellew wouldn’t know this because he doesn’t pay to watch us week in, week out. He has absolutely no affiliation with the Hammers, and has no understanding of how much importance we place on being entertained.
And I’m sure that the majority of West Ham fans will join me in telling Tony Bellew to keep his nose out of our business!
