The West Ham United midfielder was absolutely sensational for the Three Lions against the Italians.
In fact, he was miles better for Gareth Southgate‘s side than he has been for Hammers boss David Moyes recently.
Dec’s goal topped off what was a truly brilliant all-round performance, and the irony would not have been lost on the Hammers fans…

The fact that the Hammers ace scored from a corner last night shows how much of a threat he can be in and around the opposition’s penalty area.
I have been saying this for quite some time now – why on earth is Rice on corner duty at the London Stadium?
It just seems to be beyond ridiculous to me that the 24-year-old has been taking corners for us.
Not only because he’s 6ft 2in tall and is a threat in the air but also because when the ball drops down, there are not many better at cleanly striking a football than Declan Rice.
West Ham have been absolutely terrible from corners this season. It has been such a drastic drop off from the last two seasons when we were a huge threat.
Maybe Moyes should get Rice off corners for our remaining 12 Premier League games this season.
Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Emerson, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma are all more than capable of whipping dangerous ball into the box.
