The Scot desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

It seems as though bringing Diaby to West Ham could just be a pipe dream though, with the Gunners in the hunt for his signature…

Sport Bild reckon that the Leverkusen ace is dreaming of moving to the Premier League at the end of the season, and Arsenal want to bring him to England.

If the Gunners really are in the race for Diaby, that means the Hammers have no chance of signing him, given the contrasting fortunes of the two clubs.

That’s a real shame, and we really should have moved to sign the Frenchman sooner when there was less competition for his signature.

He has been described as an ‘astonishing’ player by the Bundesliga’s official website and would have been a real upgrade on Said Benrahma at the London Stadium.

Last season, the five-capped France international chalked up 17 goals and 14 assists in 42 games. This term his has 14 goals and 10 assists in 42 outings.

Moussa Diaby is an elite talent and if Arsenal come knocking, they may well be able to tempt him into moving to the Emirates with ease.

Unfortunately for West Ham, we’re just not on the same level as the Gunners and Moyes will have to readjust his target list in the summer.
