Manuel Pellegrini made plenty of mistakes during his time in charge as manager of West Ham and another shocker seems to have been unearthed.

The Hammers failed to offer Joshua Wilson-Esbrand a professional deal back in the summer of 2019. Manchester City swooped in and the rest is history.
The 18-year-old left-back is a real talent and he was actually very highly rated at the London Stadium.
West Ham took their time offering him a professional contract, however, failed to move fast enough and eventually lost him to Manchester City (ExWHUemployee).

Manuel Pellegrini shocker
The Chilean made a whole host of mistakes during his time as West Ham boss.
Pellegrini brought Roberto to the London Stadium. Signing him was bad enough but playing him for 10 games before dropping him was unforgivable. The goalkeeper was so bad that he ended up costing the manager his job.
Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere were signed as well – awful additions, the pair of them.
Signing Sebastien Haller – a player who didn’t suit Premier League football or our playing style was also a baffling move.
It seems as though Pellegrini made another rickett, however – one that went largely unnoticed at the time.

The Chilean oversaw Joshua Wilson-Esbrand leaving east London for Manchester City.
And the 18-year-old is starting to make waves at the Etihad.
He was included on the bench by Pep Guardiola for Man City’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain last night.
For Pep to include him in his squad for a game like the one last night proves just how highly he rates him.
Wilson-Esbrand made his debut for City in the Carabao Cup against Wycombe Wanderers last week.
He clearly has a very bright future ahead of him in the game.

And Pellegrini’s decision not to push harder for a new deal for the 18-year-old could end up costing West Ham big time.
