West Ham signed Alex Kral on a season-long loan from Spartak Moscow back in the summer of 2021.
However, Alex Kral failed to establish himself with West Ham, and received just 256 minutes playing time under David Moyes during the 2021/22 season (Transfermarkt).

The 25-year-old only played one Premier League minute for the Hammers as well, and in fairness to Moyes he was well off the pace whenever he did play for the club.

Kral lashed out at the West Ham boss earlier this year, by suggesting that he wasn’t given a fair chance to prove himself at the London Stadium.
He left to join Schalke in the summer of 2022 before leaving for a loan move to Union Berlin this summer just gone.

Alex Kral impressing in the Champions League after West Ham exit
The 25-year-old Czech Republic international played for Union Berlin on Tuesday night against Braga in Europe’s premier competition.
He bagged an assist for Union Berlin but unfortunately for him, his side lost 3-2 to the Portuguese outfit after a ding-dong battle.

Now, it was clear to see that Kral was miles off the levels needed to succeed in the Premier League during his time with West Ham.
However, by the same token it could be argued that he wasn’t given enough opportunities to shine by Moyes.
In my personal opinion, Alex Kral was a really poor signing by Moyes, despite his recent showings in the Champions League.
That’s not to say that he’s not a decent player though, and won’t go on to enjoy a successful career in a less intense and not so physically punishing league.
