After £107.5 million splurge, West Ham insider makes hugely exciting transfer claim

West Ham United are set to carry on spending this summer with our transfer outlay exceeding £100 million last night.

That’s according to Hammers ITK Sean Whetstone who writes for high-level club insiders Claret and Hugh.

West Ham completed the signing of Maxwel Cornet from Burnley yesterday for around £17.5 million.

Before the Ivorian, the Hammers had already splashed out £90 million (including add-ons) on Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes and Gianluca Scamacca (Sean Whetstone).

So that figure now stands at in excess of £100 million.

To remains competitive in the Premier League, you absolutely cannot afford to stand still. And credit where credit’s due, the Hammers certainly haven’t done that this summer.

These are really exciting times to be a West Ham fan and they could be set to get even better…

West Ham spending set to continue

David Moyes is eyeing further signings between now and the end of the transfer window.

That’s according to club insider Sean Whetstone who claims that more players could soon be arriving at the London Stadium:

A squad overhaul was certainly needed at West Ham this summer, and as things stand, Moyes and the board have not disappointed.

That’s not to say that their work is done. Further reinforcements are undoubtedly required.

The additions of a powerful central midfielder, a centre-back, an orthodox left-back and another attacker would not go a miss.

Moyes has already made five signings but we lost seven players this summer. And whilst the additions he has made have been huge improvements on the players who’ve left, the Scot still needs more bodies if we are to challenge on all fronts this season.

Quite how much more money David Sullivan, David Gold and Daniel Kretinsky are prepared to spend remains to be seen.

It’s been a great start to the summer transfer window for West Ham but we need it to continue.

And according to Whetstone, that’s exactly what Moyes and the board plan on doing.
