The West Ham starting XI selected by Lopetegui is certainly capable of causing Man City problems, but getting a result at the Etihad will undoubtedly be a tall order.
The Hammers have been absolutely atrocious this season, and Lopetegui has to take the blame for that.
The Spaniard seems to be bereft of ideas of how to turn things around unfortunately, and the sooner he’s moved on from the London Stadium the better it will be for us.

However, in the here and now, we all have to get behind the team, and keep our fingers crossed that the boys can cause a shock up in Manchester today.
But how has Lopetegui set up his team to face the Premier League champions?
West Ham starting XI vs Manchester City confirmed
The Hammers aren’t being given much chance by anyone this afternoon.
However, Man City have been really poor by their standards this season.
Here’s how West Ham will line up to take on Man City, as confirmed by the club’s official X account:

Alphonse Areola, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo, Vladimir Coufal, Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug
Coufal, Summerville, Fullkrug and Soucek all come into the side to face Manchester City.
That team isn’t bad at all.
However, the players will obviously have to be on top form in order to beat Man City.
The West Ham starting XI selected by Julen Lopetegui isn’t a bad one whatsoever. Let’s just hope the boys are able to dig in and get what would be a big result.
