West Ham United lost to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday in embarrassing fashion.
Graham Potter has seriously got his work cut-out at West Ham, if he is to turn things around and get us back inside the top half of the Premier League table next season.
The Hammers have been truly awful this season, and it has to be said, things have got even worse since Potter took over at the London Stadium.
Potter is planning a big squad rebuild at West Ham this summer, and boy do we need that.
The Hammers squad is nowhere near good enough right now, with more dynamism, athleticism, genuine quality and youth required at the London Stadium.

The 3-2 defeat away at Brighton on Saturday was a tough result to take, given the fcat that we led the game heading into the dying minutes.
However, the defeat was probably no less than we deserved. The Hammers were awful during the first-half and Potter was once again forced to make a change before the second-half kicked off.
One player in particular really let West Ham down against the Seagulls.
West Ham fans fume at James Ward-Prowse after display vs Brighton
James Ward-Prowse has been incredibly poor for the Hammers since returning to the London Stadium on transfer deadline day in the January window.
Potter brought Ward-Prowse back to West Ham from Nottingham Forest, after both clubs mutually decided to terminate his loan deal.
However, the 30-year-old has hindered the Hammers more than he has helped out since returning to the club.
He is painfully slow and lacks the athleticism that is required to succeed in the Premier League these days.
The former Southampton midfielder was incredibly poor for the Hammers at the Amex Stadium against the Seagulls.
It was no surprise that he was hauled off by Potter at half-time, and replaced by Niclas Fullkrug.
The Hammers fans were not happy one little bit with Ward-Prowse’s performance against Brighton Saturday.
One West Ham fan said, “Oh my god he’s taken Ward Prowse off for Fullkrug I feel like I’m dreaming.“
Whilst a second Hammers supporter said, “I can’t believe we’re actually paying Ward-Prowse to play football.“

Meanwhile, a third Hammer said, “Never got the hype surrounding the bloke. Championship standard at the very best.“
A fourth West Ham supporter then said, “Ward-Prowse is one of the worst midfielders I’ve ever seen in my life.“
Then a fifth West Ham fan said, “Never wanted to sign him in the first place mate . My brother works for Southampton and is a West Ham st holder said he’s donkey wouldn’t sign him especially for what we did.“
A sixth Hammer said, “Why is ward-prowse still playing, he offers nothing.“
A seventh said, “I feel so sorry for Wan-Bissaka man. Absolutely phenomenal at driving the ball down the wing and when he looks up he has only Soucek to aim at because the rest at 5 foot tall. Potter, get Ward-Prowse off and put Fullkrug on so we have someone else to aim at!“
Whilst an eighth West Ham supporter said, “It’s so painful watching Ward-Prowse hesitate with every single pass.“
West Ham have serious midfield problems, now key Potter target doesn’t want to join
Ward-Prowse should be moved on from the club this summer, there is no doubt about that.
Big improvements are required in the engine room, if the Hammers are to ever get back to where we were two or three years ago.
The big problem that Potter faces is the fact that it will be incredibly difficult to attract good players to the club this summer.
Angel Gomes is a key transfer target for the Hammers head coach.
However, Gomes has rejected a move to West Ham because he apparently doesn’t like the way that we play.
That just sums West Ham up as a club right now. Hopefully things will get better and the summer transfer window is one full of excitement and hope.
However, as things stand, the outlook seems very bleak indeed.
