The Hammers headed to Vicarage Road having taken just five points from our last seven Premier League games.
David Moyes would have made it very clear to the West Ham players just how important this game was.

It seemed as though they may have missed the memo though. Emmanuel Dennis put Watford ahead inside five minutes and it seemed like it would be the same old story.
West Ham fought back though and Jarrod Bowen inspired a great comeback.
The 25-year-old teed up Tomas Soucek who fired home to restore parity after 27 minutes.
It was his constant harrying and hustling of the opposition’s defenders that was most impressive, however.

Bowen was absolutely everywhere in the first-half. He didn’t stop working up and down the right hand flank. The 25-year-old also put numerous dangerous balls into the Watford penalty area.
He was unlucky to have a goal disallowed early on in the second-half and then went on to win the penalty that was calmly tucked away by Mark Noble.
West Ham fans react to Jarrod Bowen display vs Watford
The former Hull City ace, who earns £96k-a-week at the London Stadium (Spotrac), has firmly established himself as one of the Hammers’ most important players over the past 18 months.
He has proved just how vital he is to the way in which Moyes likes his side to play.
And he showed his class once again today.
