The West Ham United players probably had the most comfortable night of their careers against Leicester City on Thursday.
The Premier League is said to be the ‘best in the world’ but on the evidence of last night, it’s a long way off that.
West Ham didn’t even get out of second gear, and managed to beat Leicester 2-0 with complete and utter ease.
The London Stadium was deathly quiet inside due to the fact that Leicester’s awful display completely took the crowd out of the game.
Many West Ham fans actually thought Graham Potter got it wrong buy naming the same starting XI that beat Arsenal 1-0.
However, it’s hard to change a winning team isn’t it, and the boys on the pitch got the job done in the end.
None of the Hammers players will have an easier game than that in the Premier League ever again, I can guarantee that.

They were professional and got the job done, but it wasn’t an eye-catching performance on the whole.
However, one West Ham player really stood out for me last night amongst a sea of bland displays.
West Ham ace Aaron Cresswell was exceptional vs Leicester
Aaron Cresswell is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance in his twilight years right now.
The 35-year-old was absolutely brilliant during our 1-0 win away at Arsenal on Saturday, and he was just as good, if not better, against Leicester.
Cresswell has been a much maligned figure by the Hammers fanbase over the past couple of years.
Many have suggested that he is well past his best and should have been moved on last year.
However, Cresswell is proving everyone wrong. The 35-year-old is clearly a big influence behind the scenes as well – something that Kevin Nolan confirmed back in the summer.
He has been truly exceptional of late, and his experience is obviously vital due to the fact that he’s played alongside teenager Ollie Scarles in our last two Premier League games.

Potter is clearly a big fan of Cresswell and I wouldn’t be surprised one little bit to see his deal extended by a further 12 months.
Aaron Cresswell stats for West Ham vs Leicester will blow your minds
The experienced left-back has played as a left-sided centre-back in our last two games.
And he has excelled beyond belief.
Against Leicester, Creswell had an incredible 136 touches of the football, made one tackle, three interceptions, two clearances and one block.
He made an incredible 115 passes, two of which were key passes, and recorded an extraordinary completion rate of 90.4% (Who Scored).
He was also the highest rated player on Who Scored with a score of 8.16 (Who Scored).
I’m not quite sure I’ve seen statistics as impressive as that from one of our players this season.
Aaron Cresswell has proven to every single West Ham fan over the last two games that he is still very much a useful asset for us at the highest level.
