Graham Potter has named his West Ham United starting XI for Thursday night’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.
West Ham have the chance to make it two Premier League wins in a row for the first time this season when Graham Potter and his players welcome Leicester to the London Stadium.
The clash with the Foxes will not be as easy as some people are making out.
Paul Merson highlighted earlier this week how the Hammers struggle when teams sit back and defend deep against them.

And that’s exactly what Leicester will do against West Ham.
So what team has Potter gone with in order to combat the potential problems the Hammers may face against the Foxes?
Confirmed West Ham starting XI vs Leicester
The West Ham starting XI selected by Potter is a strong one, aside from the unavailable injured players of course.
A win against Leicester City really would be huge regarding our hopes of a potential top 10 finish this season.
Here’s how Potter has set up his team, as confirmed via the club’s official X account:

Alphonse Areola, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman, Aaron Cresswell, Ollie Scarles, Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, James Ward-Prowse, Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen
To leave Evan Ferguson out of the starting XI yet again is a really bold call from Potter.
It’s so tough for strikers to gain any kind of momentum when they join a new club and are only given a handful of minutes here and there.
If the Irishman isn’t ready to start against Leicester after nearly four weeks at the club, then what was the actual point in signing him?
We need our best players to be on top form against Leicester.
Despite their struggles this season, it’s worth remembering that they beat us 3-1 in the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium.
They are fighting for their lives right now, and the biggest mistake the Hammers players can make is to underestimate them.
I’m sure Graham Potter won’t allow his West Ham players to do that, and the starting XI he has selected to take on Leicester is more than good enough to get the job done.
I’m going for a 3-1 home win, COYI X
