The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from CSKA Moscow on transfer deadline day in the summer for around £25 million (The Guardian).

Vlasic has made a very slow start at the London Stadium with David Moyes choosing to ease the Croatian into life at West Ham.

Before last night, the attacking midfielder had only made six starts all season with five of these coming in the Europa League.

Vlasic was given a chance by Moyes to prove himself last night and he didn’t disappoint.

The Croatian really showed the fans what he is capable of with his low centre of gravity, impressive strength and ability to beat his man.

He really could reach another level entirely now if given regular game-time.

Surely Vlasic deserves a sustained run in the team now, to mix things up at the very least.

The Croatian offers West Ham something completely different that we do not otherwise possess what with his ball control in tight areas and strength when playing with his back to goal.
