West Ham were beaten 3-1 by Man City at the London Stadium today, despite taking a 1-0 lead into the break.

West Ham were just simply outclassed in the end.

And one Hammers player in particular incurred the wrath of co-commentator Tony Gale

Gale was commentating on the game at the London Stadium today.

And he chose to criticise Kurt Zouma late on in the game when Man City right-back Kyle Walker raced away from him before squaring the ball to Erling Haaland, only for the Norwegian to fire the ball straight at Alphonse Areola:

“He looked like he was running in quicksand. It didn’t seem right how he was running. He’s far too relaxed and Walker beat him to it.”

Zouma was pretty solid today in all fairness to him.

However, he did look rather leggy in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Tony Gale was probably slightly harsh in his criticism of the West Ham defender during the latter stages of our defeat to Manchester City.

As he continues to get older though, his fitness issues will definitely not go away. Let’s just hope that the Frenchman avoids any kind of serious injuries this season.
