Jarrod Bowen spoke about the Everton fans after West Ham United’s 1-1 draw with them at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

The West Ham players put in a real shift against Everton in the Premier League, but it wasn’t pretty was it!

Hammers skipper Jarrod Bowen epitomised the hard-working performance from the Hammers at Goodison Park.

Jarrod Bowen has voiced his pleasure after West Ham appointed Graham Potter to replace Julen Lopetegui.

However, the Hammers fans will want to see a lot more than what was served up from Potter and his players at Goodison Park on Saturday.

We have to thank our lucky stars that we have Jarrod Bowen at the club, and Potter has already raved about the Hammers captain.

That said, he wasn’t anywhere near his best today, despite recording an assist.

Goodison was in full voice on Saturday.

The 1-1 draw was our last visit to the famous old ground. It’s sad really isn’t it, how many brilliant old stadiums are getting demolished in order for clubs to move into larger, soulless bowls.

We know all about that of course.

Bowen spoke to reporters and made a comment about the Everton fans regarding how hard they make things for opposing teams at Goodison, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“It’s always difficult. They’ve got a real good set of supporters with their support and how difficult they make it when you go there and play away from home.

The 1-1 draw was a hard one to take in the end.

Conceding in injury time is always hard to swallow.

As Jarrod Bowen said though, playing Everton at Goodison Park is never an easy thing to do, so 1-1 was not actually a bad result for West Ham in the grand scheme of things.

Now I’m just hoping that the Hammers finish the season strongly, and we have a late surge up the table.
