Gary Neville blown away by 'outstanding' Jarrod Bowen display for West Ham vs Manchester City

Gary Neville absolutely raved about Jarrod Bowen after the West Ham ace’s performance against Manchester City this afternoon.

The 25-year-old Hammers star has been in exceptional form this season.

And he was an utter menace for the Manchester City defenders at the London Stadium this afternoon.

David Moyes brought Bowen to West Ham for around £20 million from Hull City in January 2020 (BBC).

And he has been worth every penny of that transfer fee.

Bowen bagged two brilliantly taken goals for West Ham against Manchester City today. He really was unplayable at times.

The ex-Hull ace has now bagged 18 goals and 13 assists in 50 games for the Hammers this season (Transfermarkt).

The 25-year-old Hammers winger will surely get a call-up to the England national team squad for the World Cup in Qatar this winter, when Gareth Southgate makes his decision.

His performance today against Man City was evidence of just how much he has improved as a player this season.

And Gary Neville admitted that he was really impressed by Jarrod Bowen this afternoon, when speaking on Sky Sports today (Sunday May 15th, 2:45pm):

“I have to say, Bowen’s runs inside Zinchenko have been absolutely outstanding. Brilliant finishes. It’s not easy to take on Ederson one on one but he does. Brilliant from Bowen.”

David Moyes will be delighted with the way in which the 25-year-old attacker has played this season.

He has reached another level entirely and the challenge for him now will be to kick on once again next term.

The former Hull star is certainly capable of doing that, what with his his unrivalled work-rate and commitment.

Gary Neville lauding Jarrod Bowen today is further evidence of the West Ham star’s rise to prominence this season.

And the sky is the limit for the hard-working Hammers attacker.
