West Ham starting XI vs Nottingham Forest confirmed, as the Hammers look to get back on track in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest play host to West Ham United in the Premier League at the City Ground this afternoon, and David Moyes has named his starting XI for the match.

Tim Robinson will be on VRA duty for today’s clash with Forest, and after his refereeing performance for our match against Bournemouth at the start of the month, it kind of feels like things are already going against us.

However, following the 6-0 battering at the hands of Arsenal last weekend, the West Ham players need to show a big response.

The Hammers board are said to be incredibly unhappy following that defeat to the Gunners, so Moyes badly needs a win up in the East Midlands today.

So what lineup has the Scot gone with for today’s huge game against Forest?

West Ham starting XI vs Nottingham Forest

Moyes has made two changes from the 6-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend, as confirmed via the club’s official X account.

Michail Antonio and Kalvin Phillips come into the side in place of Tomas Soucek and Ben Johnson.

Alphonse Areola, Vladimir Coufal, Emerson Palmieri, Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Edson Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips, James Ward-Prowse, Mohammed Kudus, Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen

Nothing less than all three points will do for the Hammers this afternoon.

Forest will represent a really stern test, and are in desperate need of a victory themselves, but we really should be going to places like the City Ground with the intent to win comfortably.

I want to see us begin the game on the front foot this afternoon, and I need to see the players show a real determination to impose themselves onto Forest. Moyes needs to set his team up with that kind of positive thinking as well, of course.

I think this could be a tough watch in honesty though, and I’m going for a hard-fought 1-1 draw, and if that turns out to be a correct prediction, it will do absolutely nothing to ease the pressure on Moyes.

Let’s hope I’m wrong and we manage to pick up a vital three points.
