Pep Guardiola has big worry about Man City star man Bernardo Silva ahead of West Ham

Pep Guardiola has spoken of his big worry about Manchester City star man Bernardo Silva ahead of the clash with West Ham.

West Ham face the daunting task of a trip to champions Man City on Sunday afternoon having watched them dismantle Paris Saint Germain in midweek.

The Hammers are flying this season and go into the game knowing they will move level on points with third-placed Man City with a win at the Etihad.

But David Moyes’s side will also take some confidence from the fact they knocked Man City out of the Carabao Cup last month.

West Ham will be well aware that Pep Guardiola’s side – as they so often do around this time of the season – have clicked into another gear since then.

The Hammers meanwhile have showed the first signs of fatigue amid a jam-packed season with their jaded performance up at Wolves last week resulting in a 1-0 defeat.

Moyes told reporters he looks set to have a clean bill of health across his squad other than Angelo Ogbonna’s season-ending ACL injury.

But according to The Manchester Evening News, Guardiola has a big worry about Man City star man Bernardo Silva.

And Silva’s performance have been all the more crucial and impressive given the absence of Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kevin de Bruyne.

But ahead of the game against West Ham, Guardiola has warned ‘the tiredness is coming’ for Silva due to the stream of high-intensity matches he has played of late.

Guardiola hinted Silva will have to be rested at some stage. But MEN doubts that will be against ‘a dangerous West Ham side’.

Although there has been the suggestion that both Grealish and Foden could be back in the Man City squad for the game after injury so Guardiola may well be tempted to rest Silva.

If Silva does play West Ham can only hope the tiredness Guardiola believes is coming for him rears its head when the Hammers visit in the 2pm kick-off.
