Jarrod Bowen is back as David Moyes delivers an astonishing double West Ham injury boost about the top scorer and Michail Antonio.

The final international break of the year was a disastrous one for West Ham as Michail Antonio, top goalscorer Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus all picked up injuries.

The Hammers make the long trip to face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

And it looked very much like they would have to make do without two – if not all three – of those attacking stars.

Especially after West Ham’s official website admitted there were concerns about the trio and confirmed they were undergoing assessments.

Bowen and Antonio both suffered knee injuries with various reports claiming the duo could face a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

But Bowen is back as David Moyes delivers an astonishing double West Ham injury boost about top scorer and Antonio.

Speaking in his pre-Burnley press conference on Friday afternoon, Moyes revealed not only that Antonio’s injury is not as bad as reported but Bowen could be ready to play against the Clarets.

“Michail has got a small injury,” Moyes said.

“It’s not serious. it will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks. I think, give or take, two weeks. I don’t want to nail down an exact time scan but about that long.

“We hope Jarrod will be available tomorrow against Burnley but we will make a decision on that tomorrow.”

What a fantastic and much needed boost after a week of bad news.

It means Bowen has a chance of maintaining his incredible record of having missed only two of West Ham’s 138 Premier League games since he joined in January 2020.

Let’s also hope he continues his superb form in front of goal if the England man does feature.

Should West Ham win Saturday’s 3pm kick-off they could rise up to eighth in the table.
