The Hammers earned a valuable three points last time out against Wolves at the London Stadium on Sunday and that result kept us in the race for the top four.
This evening’s clash with Liverpool will be an incredibly difficult one for the boys though.
My Europa League Predictions.
Jurgen Klopp has built one of the very best squads in world football at Anfield and his Reds side are in scintillating form.
Liverpool have won their last 11 games in all competitions and they haven’t lost at Anfield since March 2021.
The Hammers players will have to be 100 per cent on their games today if we are to have any chance of leaving Merseyside with a positive result.
David Moyes will be hammering it home to his players how they need to stay focused and committed for the entirety of the match today.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp will be instilling into his Liverpool players just how important this match is for them. They desperately need a win in order to keep the pressure up on league leaders Manchester City.
West Ham starting lineup vs Liverpool
David Moyes has made three changes from our FA Cup defeat to Southampton on Wednesday night.
Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell and Nikola Vlasic come into the starting lineup in place of Alphonse Areola, Issa Diop and Declan Rice.
The Hammers have arguably our most important game of the season on Thursday night away against Sevilla in the Europa League last 16.
So it will be important to get through today’s game against Liverpool without suffering any more injuries.
Not having Rice available is obviously a huge blow.
But hopefully those coming into the team will rise to the challenge against Klopp’s Liverpool.
