Kompany has implemented the polar opposite style at Burnley and has stuck to those principles despite their struggles since promotion back to the Premier League.

Many West Ham fans feel Moyes has the players in his squad to play an exciting brand of football on the front foot.
And it seems Burnley’s manager agrees with them about the quality in their ranks.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Kompany said he loves the look of the team and squad West Ham are building.
And he has picked out Brazilian magnifico Lucas Paqueta, destroyer Edson Alvarez and star boy Mohammed Kudus as West Ham’s holy trinity.

“We know West Ham are such a strong opponent, you just have to look at the players they’ve got and the investments they’ve had in certain positions,” Kompany said.
“I really like the squad they have to be honest.
“There’s pure individual quality that you have to respect in this league. But that’s the goal for us, to show the ability to be amongst this.
“Obviously they’ve got (Michail) Antonio who is not available and a few other niggles, but if you look at the midfield with Alvarez, Paqueta on the ball and his quality to pick passes and be a threat, Kudus is a player I’ve known for a long time, it’s just an exciting squad purely from a neutral perspective.”
