Arsenal journalist Charlie Watts has provided what he calls a ‘big boost’ ahead of the Boxing Day clash with West Ham United.

Watts, a well known Arsenal reporter, has claimed via his YouTube channel that Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka will certainly start against West Ham at the Emirates on Monday, in spite of their recent World Cup exertions.

That is if they remain injury free until Boxing Day of course.

The Arsenal vs West Ham clash is an absolutely huge one for both Mikel Arteta and David Moyes.

The Hammers could have key players missing for the game with Gianluca Scamacca a major doubt.

Meanwhile, the Gunners will be without Gabriel Jesus who suffered an injury whilst on international duty with Brazil at the World Cup out in Qatar, and he’ll be missing for some time.

There is some good news for the Arsenal fans though…

Double boost for Arsenal ahead of West Ham Boxing Day clash

Charlie Watts has been speaking about the Gunners vs Hammers clash on Monday night.

And he shared some very good news for the home side ahead of the game, when speaking via his YouTube channel:

Great to see Saka and Martinelli back, that’s a big, big boost. They’ll certainly be starting against West Ham on Boxing Day, injury permitting.

Considering that both players made it to the World Cup quarter-finals with their respective countries, Arteta and the Gunners fans will be very happy with that.

Neither player have featured for Arsenal during their mid-season warmup games yet, so having them available for West Ham will undoubtedly be a welcome boost for them, especially with Gabriel Jesus out.

The Brazil and England internationals are two of the most dangerous attackers in the Premier League, so the Hammers defenders certainly wont be relishing coming up against them at the Emirates.

The Arsenal vs West Ham clash on Boxing Day should be an absolute cracker. Both sides absolutely have to go for the win.

Let’s hope that the West Ham defenders manage to keep Saka and Martinelli in check. However, that will be easier said than done of course!
