West Ham star Vladimir Coufal has hailed a little known strike sensation after a 10-minute hat-trick on his international debut.
Not so long ago David Moyes was holding up Czech duo Coufal and Tomas Soucek as the poster boys of his new-look West Ham.
The Hammers got the pair for just £23m – a bargain given their performances over the first 18 months to two years at the club.
Moyes repeatedly said how Soucek and Coufal set the benchmark when it came to training and their professional attitudes.
The Scot was also said to be using Soucek and Coufal to help him identify further potential bargains in the their homeland with interest in the likes of Abdallah Sima, David Zima and Adam Hlozek. They also played a big part in bringing Alex Kral to West Ham on loan, a move which did not work out.
Well if Moyes is still taking scouting advice from the duo, then the West Ham boss may have just had his ears pricked.
Soucek and Coufal both played for Czech Republic in 5-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Wednesday night.
The West Ham men also both got an assist each in the game – for the same player – forward Mojmir Chytil.
And West Ham star Coufal has hailed the strike sensation after his 10-minute hat-trick on his international debut.
Chytil, who plays for Sigma Olomouc, had a dream debut when he scored three goals between the 13th and 23rd minute of his debut.
His first goal was assisted by West Ham right-back Coufal and his second by former Hammer of the Year Soucek.

“Absolutely unreal first game for Czech Republic and hat-trick for 10 minutes,” Coufal said alongside a video of Chytil’s goals.
“Top, top, big congrats Mojmir Chytil.”
Moyes has bemoaned West Ham’s inability to score goals this season. The Hammers have managed just 12 goals so far – the joint second worst in the top flight.
If Moyes is still taking notice of Coufal and Soucek’s recommendations then he could land West Ham a bargain in January.
Chytil is said to have a market value of just £700k according to transfermarkt. And while the site’s valuations are usually well below the actual going rate, it would certainly be a low risk move.
West Ham must sign another striker in January. They should be operating with three forward options anyway and Michail Antonio, whose form has dropped off a cliff in the last year, turns 33 in March.
