West Ham have reportedly been handed a real hammer injury blow ahead of our Premier League clash with Arsenal on Boxing Day.
The Hammers head to the Emirates to take on Arsenal a week tomorrow in a game that will be hugely important for both sides, but for very different reasons.
The Hammers are currently embroiled in a real relegation battle, and are sitting in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are flying high at the top of the tree and currently hold a five point advantage over second placed Manchester City.

It will undoubtedly be a really tough evening in north London for David Moyes’s side, but it might just be even harder now than we first thought…
West Ham hammer injury blow shared
Gianluca Scamacca suffered an injury during the Hammers’ friendly clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage yesterday.
David Moyes took him off inside the first-half.
In spite of that, apparently there has been a slight twist, with The Daily Mail claiming that Scamacca is a ‘major doubt’ for next Monday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.

With Michail Antonio already out injured, not having the 23-year-old to call upon would be a bitter pill to swallow for Moyes.
The Scot will be absolutely desperate for a result against the Gunners, but the Hammers’ chances of doing that will be severely hampered if Scamacca is unavailable for selection.
The Italian provides a great focal point for our attacking play. And now Jarrod Bowen or Said Benrahma will probably have to operate through the middle against Arsenal.
West Ham have been handed a real hammer injury blow at the worst possible time.
