Latest West Ham win came at a cost as injuries pile up

Already missing key stars Declan Rice and Michail Antonio, West Ham’s win over Leicester last time out appeared to come at a cost.

Both Aaron Cresswell and captain Mark Noble picked up injuries in the 3-2 win over the Foxes.

Cresswell suffered what looked to be a hamstring strain.

And Noble – deputising for the injured Declan Rice – suffered an elbow injury.

But according to West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, Moyes could be handed a huge boost for the Newcastle clash with the return of Angelo Ogbonna, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini and Darren Randolph to the squad.

Huge injury boost for West Ham ahead of Newcastle claims insider

And Ex claims there could also be good news on Cresswell with the club hopeful his injury is not serious.

“Hopefully Ogbonna, Yarmolenko, Randolph and Lanzini will all be in contention for a place against Newcastle,” ExWHUemployee said in the latest West Ham Way podcast.

“It might come a little bit too early for Yarmolenko but certainly Ogbonna and Lanzini were very close to being on the bench (for Leicester), it gives us options when they’re available definitely, so that will help.

“Cresswell obviously felt his hamstring.

With Noble confident of being fit Hammers hopes will be high

“He’s had issues with his hamstring before… Cresswell is optimistic that it’s not too serious.

“But he’ll have a scan (Monday) to find out how serious it is.”

Throw in the fact Noble told whufc.com he is hoping to be fit for the game against the Magpies and things are looking positive.

Every game is crucial in the race for Europe.

West Ham may need four more wins to secure a top four spot given fixtures elsewhere across the league.
