An injury expert has made a seriously worrying claim about West Ham star Gianluca Scamacca ahead of the Wolves clash.
The pressure is on for David Moyes ahead of the six-pointer with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Wolves have looked much-improved since Julen Lopetegui’s arrival and West Ham know defeat will see the hosts drag them into the relegation zone.
West Ham won for the first time in seven matches when they rather unconvincingly beat Brentford 1-0 in the FA Cup last time out.
That followed a 2-2 draw at Leeds in which striker Gianluca Scamacca scored a lovely goal from outside the box.

Michail Antonio has looked an increasingly spent force at Premier League level having seen his form drop off a cliff over a year ago. And the forward is said to be unhappy at playing second fiddle to West Ham’s £35m summer signing.
Scamacca did not feature in the win at Brentford with West Ham revealing he had a “minor knock” sustained in the draw with Leeds.
But now an injury expert has made a seriously worrying claim about West Ham star Scamacca ahead of the Wolves clash.
According to “medical expert” Ben Dinnery – speaking to Football Insider – the fact Scamacca was sent for a scan on his “minor knock” means that a “sinister” injury cannot be ruled out.
“Moyes spoke about the setback and ultimately it was a challenge that opened up Scamacca’s knee…” Dinnery told Football Insider.
“It all depends on how he responds to treatment and rehabilitation in the build-up to the Wolves match. At the moment they can’t rule out the injury being more serious or sinister than initially thought.

“As tests continue, you can never be 100 per cent sure.”
West Ham posted a video from training ahead of the Wolves clash earlier this week and there was no sign of Scamacca.
But Moyes notoriously likes to keep team and injury news close to his chest so as to leave the opposition guessing.
It’s unlikely Dinnery has any inside knowledge of the situation. But it is a massive concern given West Ham’s awful goalscoring form this season.
