West Ham United have been handed a huge double injury boost ahead of some really tough Premier League games.
The Hammers face games against Newcastle (a), Chelsea (h) and Tottenham (a) over the course of the next 17 days.

David Moyes has received plenty of criticism for the way in which he has resisted any kind of real change, and overseen our slow demise over the past six months.

I believe that the Scot is 90% to blame for our struggles. The players haven’t been good enough either and in all fairness, we have had some serious injuries to contend with.
Maxwel Cornet has been out since October whilst we haven’t seen Gianluca Scamacca for nearly three weeks.
When the Ivorian returns, he will be like a new signing for West Ham. And having the Italian back fit and firing through the middle will make us so much more potent inside the final third.
It appears as though both players are closing in on returns to action in what is a very timely boost for the Hammers…
Huge West Ham injury boost
It has been reported by injury expert Ben Dinnery (Premier Injuries) that Scamacca could return in time for our clash with Chelsea on February 11th and Cornet could be back in time for the game against Tottenham on the 19th of February.
Contrastingly, Dinnery suggests that there is no return date currently set for either Kurt Zouma or Danny Ings. So it’s not all good news.
However, having Cornet and Scamacca back in time for our clash with Tottenham in a couple of weeks should give everyone involved with the club a real injection of confidence as we try to pull away from the relegation battle.
The 26-year-old has pace and power in abundance, and his direct playing style will make a huge difference for the Hammers during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, the Italian ace’s touch and ability on the ball when playing with his back to goal will be crucial to our hopes of getting up the pitch.
I can guarantee we will all see a different West Ham United when Cornet and Scamacca are playing together alongside the likes of Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta.
David Moyes deserves all the criticism he gets in my opinion. However, there have been extenuating circumstances that certainly haven’t made his job any easier. I would suggest that we won’t see the best out of the Hammers until Nayef Aguerd, Kurt Zouma, Paqueta, Rice, Cornet and Scamacca are all on the pitch together – something that has not yet happened this season.
It seems as though the Ivorian and the Italian are at least closing in on a return to action. And that will be a huge double injury boost for West Ham United.
