Declan Rice has sent an emotional message to West Ham United teammate Angelo Ogbonna after his devastating injury blow.
Rice may be the West Ham captain but Ogbonna is one of the big leaders for the Hammers too.
So the news he faces being out long-term – and possibly the season – with an ACL injury is a crushing blow for West Ham and David Moyes.

It comes with West Ham fighting on all fronts. The Hammers go into the international break third in the Premier League after the 3-2 win over Liveprool.
Moyes’s side are one game away from the Carabao Cup semi-finals and on the brink of qualifying for the Europa League last 16 too.
A huge part of West Ham’s success is the brilliant partnership between Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma.

The 33-year-old injured his knee when chasing Mohamed Salah in the first half against Liverpool.
After some treatment on the side of the pitch Ogbonna played on. But he then suffered a blow to his eye after a sly elbow from Reds forward Diogo Jota which left him dripping with blood and was substituted with a scan yesterday revealing the horrible news.
In the wake of the devastating injury update, West Ham skipper Rice has sent an emotional message to Ogbonna on Twitter.

“We are all with you brother!” Rice said in response to West Ham’s confirmation of the injury blow.
“The fact you even carried on for a couple of minutes shows the type of character you are.
“Big love Oggy.”
It is the first real negative to hit West Ham in what has been a magnificent start to the season.

Until now West Ham had been uncharacteristically unaffected by injuries so far this season.
And it showed in the statistics that Moyes has made the fewest changes to his Premier League starting XI than any other manager so far this season with just four.
Let’s just hope Ogbonna is a quick healer and gets back playing again as soon as he can.
