beIN Sports has made a shocking claim about new West Ham signing Nayef Aguerd that will sicken David Moyes on the brink of the new season.
There was much excitement around the arrival of Morocco centre-back Aguerd in a £30m deal from Rennes earlier this summer.
The left-sided centre-back featured in West Ham’s friendly against Rangers on Tuesday night.

And the game came at a real cost for Moyes’ Hammers.
Because £30m West Ham new boy Aguerd has suffered a serious looking ankle injury which forced him off after just 20-odd minutes at Ibrox, as reported by Hammers News at the time.
Aguerd endured a shaky start to the game and was forced into a last ditch sliding tackle after his mis-control allowed the Gers through on goal.
Aguerd went to ground to make the tackle but twisted his ankle in the process.

The player instantly signalled to the West Ham bench and was in pain on the floor for several minutes.
The Moroccan international could be seen shaking his head in disbelief and had to be helped off the Ibrox pitch by West Ham’s medical staff.
Former Hammers defender Rufus Brevett was on co-commentary for the game and remarked that the injury looked a worrying one.
And it seems he was right.

Because beIN Sports have made a shocking claim about new West Ham signing Aguerd that will sicken Moyes on brink of the new season.
The broadcaster claims Aguerd has been ruled out for THREE months with the injury.
If accurate it means he will not be available for West Ham until around mid-October leaving the defender just a matter of weeks to prove his fitness and make the Morocco squad as the Premier League pauses for the first ever winter World Cup on November 12th until Boxing Day, December 26th.
It means West Ham fans and Moyes probably won’t see their new man fully fit and playing regularly until after the Qatar World Cup.

West Ham do of course have Angelo Ogbonna as a left-footed centre-back and Issa Diop and Craig Dawson as cover.
But it is a bitter blow on the eve of the new season and so typical of West Ham’s historical bad luck with injuries.
“beIN SPORTS sources: Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd will miss three months after being injured in his team’s friendly match against Glasgow Rangers last week,” beIN SPORTS News posted on Twitter.
There has been no official word from West Ham as yet.
But that result seems consistent with what anyone watching the game witnessed and Moyes revelation after the game that Aguerd’s ankle – while not broken – “blew up immediately”.
