Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars. It is the story that has dominated social media today and now West Ham ace Michail Antonio has got in on the act.
The Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles last night and Will Smith and Chris Rock had made the headlines when we all woke up in the UK this morning.
Will Smith inexplicably slapped Rock around the face after the comedian made a joke aimed at Jada Pinkett Smith.
Smith’s wife Jada suffers with alopecia and Rock suggested that she would be starring in the new G.I. Jane movie.
The film’s lead character has always had a bald head.
Perhaps the joke was in bad taste but Will Smith’s reaction was truly extraordinary. Many people believed it was staged but it must be asked, why would either Smith or Rock agree to it?
It was hardly an endearing moment for them was it? Predictably, plenty of memes have been floating about on social media today pertaining to the indecent last night. And West Ham ace Michail Antonio has got in on the act as well!
Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars and Antonio reacts
The Hammers striker turned 32 today.
And in celebration he took to Twitter and posted a hilarious image:
Antonio has always been a jovial character and that comes through clearly with his tweets.
Micky obviously wasn’t going to let the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident at the Oscars go by without taking full advantage!
Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars has been the biggest story of the past 24 hours in entertainment circles.
Antonio turning 32 is far bigger as far as we’re concerned though!
Happy birthday Mick and hopefully when West Ham return to action on Sunday against Everton he gets a belated birthday present in the form of a couple of goals and three points.
