West Ham and rest of the ‘other 14’ clubs need to copy a Wolves chant to get the message across to the Premier League after a David Moyes rant.

The Premier League’s so-called “Big Six” is a term which seriously rankles with fans of clubs like West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Created and perpetuated by sycophantic Sky Sports and the wider football media, it has also given birth to a lesser talked about ‘Other 14’.

West Ham and the likes of Wolves are very much part of that group of clubs, who often feel like they’re in the shadow of the other six.

Watching former West Ham star Gary O’Neil lead Wolverhampton Wanderers to a thrilling last gasp comeback win over bitter rivals Spurs on Saturday will have raised smiles among Hammers fans.

Especially with old West Ham favourite Craig Dawson involved for Wolves.

West Ham and ‘other 14’ need to copy Wolves chant

But it was something Wolves did off the pitch which should be registering with the likes of West Ham.

West Ham and rest of the ‘other 14’ clubs need to copy a Wolves chant to get their message across to the Premier League after a David Moyes rant.

Like many of the “Other 14” clubs, West Ham and their fans often feel hard done by, ignored and wronged – especially when playing against the “Big Six”.

No doubt Prem chief Richard Masters would deny any such divide exists.

Only way to get message across after Moyes rant

But it does if you listen to Hammers boss Moyes and many of his colleagues and supporters of their clubs.

In his latest press conference ahead of a crucial clash with Forest, Moyes launched an attack on the Premier League and Sky Sports over their bias and for ignoring ‘smaller clubs like West Ham’.

The Scot says opinions of the likes of West Ham and clubs outside the manufactured elite on subjects such as VAR fall on deaf ears.

Wolves and O’Neil have been outspoken on the subjects of VAR and bias having been on the wrong end of some horrendous decisions this season.

Premier League must address the elephant in the room

So perhaps the only way to get the message across to the people that matter is to have a Wolves chant belting out at grounds of the ‘Other 14’ on a regular basis.

Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters relentlessly chant accusing – with the use of some colourful language – the Premier League of being biased.

This is a very common theme among supporters of clubs outside the “Big Six” and the longer it goes unaddressed by the authorities, the more the resentment will fester.

It’s not healthy for the game, especially after the debacle that was the plan – infamously secretly agreed to and then publicly supported by the Premier League’s Big Six – to launch a European Super League.

If fans of clubs like West Ham and Wolves genuinely want change then they have to use their voices at games to get their point across.
