West Ham United appear to be on the cusp of sealing a hugely exciting January transfer window deal.
Deadline day is fast approaching, and West Ham absolutely have to get at least one signing done and dusted before the January window slams shut.
Graham Potter has one main priority as far as I’m concerned, and that is to bring a top-class striker to the London Stadium within the next 48 hours or so.
The good news is that there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes right now to make that happen.
It’s just a shame that the club have once again left it so late in the window before acting.
Hopefully Potter manages to sign at least one player before the transfer window closes.

And if it is only one we end up getting, that player absolutely has to be a striker in my opinion.
West Ham seem to be on the precipice of having an absolutely unplayable front four.
West Ham on the verge of January window deal for striker
The Hammers don’t have an option when it comes to strengthening our attacking ranks before the window closes in my opinion.
Despite what Potter has been saying to the press, he surely understands the need for a new striker.
And it seems like the West Ham head coach is close to bringing one into the club.
Evan Ferguson is someone who West Ham have been chasing all month long.
And now, it has been claimed that the 20-year-old Brighton striker’s move to the Hammers could be imminent.
When everyone at West Ham is fit, we have a seriously dangerous attack.
Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta are all match-winners on their day.
However, we are lacking the final ingredient to achieving real success – a top quality striker.
That could all change though if we manage to get a deal for Ferguson over the line before the window slams shut on Monday night.
Evan Ferguson would make West Ham’s attack unplayable
If the Hammers manage to get a deal done for the Brighton hitman, he will be a hugely exciting signing for us.

The 20-year-old is an absolute powerhouse, and possesses all of the attributes we are currently lacking in the centre-forward department.
Ferguson is incredibly strong in the air, and he has the ability to hold up the ball and bring his teammates into play.
The Irishman is not all about raw power – he is very gifted technically as well.
He proved during the 2022/23 season that he’s got what it takes inside the penalty area, with 10 goals to his name.
During that season, he worked under Graham Potter, so a reunion with the 49-year-old at the London Stadium may well help bring out the best in him.
West Ham signing Evan Ferguson this season would complete us as an attacking force in my eyes.
The thought of having the 20-year-old playing in between Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, and in front of Lucas Paqueta is an extremely tantalising one.
Hopefully the Hammers make this deal happen sooner rather than later.
