Michail Antonio has delivered his honest verdict on the orange and white West Ham United kit – our so-called ‘third strip’.

West Ham’s home strip this season is adorned with our traditional claret and blue colours.

Meanwhile, our away kit is a dark navy blue colour – again, nothing unusual.

It was the third strip that caused shock amongst the Hammers fanbase when it was released before the start of the 2022/23 season though.

When the kits were released in the summer, there was outrage amongst the West Ham fans. But what do the players think of it?

And the 32-year-old responded when asked by Callum Wilson what he really thinks about the kit:

The orange splatter thing thing. It’s not for me to be fair, the colouring and stuff like that. But at the end of the day it’s your job to wear whatever is supplied to you.

The actual truth is that the colour scheme does make sense.

The orange represents the iron being heated in the furnace! Who knew eh?

Still, I’m personally not sold on it. And it seems as though it’s the same for Antonio.

If we win regularly though, I couldn’t care less what colour our kit is!
