Harry Redknapp has absolutely raved about West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen, when speaking exclusively to WHUFC.com.
Bowen joined the Hammers from Hull City in January 2020 for around £20 million (The Mirror).
The 25-year-old has proven to be a superb signing for West Ham, and Harry Redknapp is clearly a huge fan.
Bowen was in sensational form for the Hammers last season, bagging 18 goals and 13 assists in 51 appearances (Transfermarkt).

As a reward for his fine form, the Hereford-born ace was included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Nation’s League fixtures in June, and he earned four caps for his country.
In spite of that, Harry Redknapp still rates the West Ham ace very highly indeed…
Harry Redknapp impressed by West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen
The ex-Hammers boss was speaking to the club’s official website during a wide-ranging interview.
And Redknapp responded when asked if there is one West Ham United player in particular who has impressed him recently:

I must stay I really like Jarrod Bowen. He’s fantastic for West Ham, works his socks off, never stops. He looks typical of a lad who has come through the lower divisions and appreciates the opportunity he has been given. He reminds me of a player who was at Bournemouth years ago that some might remember. His name was Phil Boyer. He played for Norwich and Southampton as well. Phil was similar to Jarrod – never stopped running and working. I really like Jarrod, he’s top drawer.
In actual fact, Bowen has been far from top-drawer this season, despite a resect resurgence in form.
The fact that he lost his place in the England squad tells us all we need to know.
It is clear and obvious to see that Jarrod Bowen is a top-class player when he’s on top form though. And he needs to show that consistently now for West Ham over the next few weeks, if he is to have any chance whatsoever of being on that plane out to Qatar with the England squad.
The onus is very much on him to start scoring and assisting week in, week out. It does seem like he’s lacking that spark and bit of confidence that he had in abundance last season.
And perhaps the comments from Harry Redknapp will give the West Ham ace exactly that in the final run of games before Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad is announced.
