West Ham United could sign long-term transfer target Duje Caleta-Car from Marseille for just £8 million this summer.
That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that Marseille are determined not to lose the 25-year-old centre-back for nothing next summer.

As a result, the Ligue 1 side will move the 23-capped Croatia international on for a reduced €10 million (£8 million) fee this summer according to Foot Mercato.

And considering West Ham’s current central defensive problems, it would be no surprise to see Moyes make another move for his old favourite.
Nayef Aguerd is currently out injured for the foreseeable future whilst Angelo Ogbonna isn’t yet ready to play a Premier League game. Meanwhile, Issa Diop has just left to join Fulham.
And it seems as though Moyes has the perfect option staring him in the face…
West Ham can sign Duje Caleta-Car on the cheap
According to a report from Foot Mercato, Marseille are prepared to let the Croatian defender leave for just £8 million this summer.
He has just one year remaining on his deal at the Stade Velodrome and the French side do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
This is an opportunity that West Ham cannot afford to miss out on.

Caleta-Car would be a fine addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
The 25-year-old is tall and commanding in the air and very comfortable with the ball at his feet as well. He is a very strong all-round defender and he would improve the Hammers’ back-line immeasurably. Well-renowned football analysis and scouting website IBWM recently described Caleta-Car as an ‘exceptional talent’.
With the Ligue 1 outfit now demanding just £8 million for the 25-year-old centre-back, Moyes can’t afford to miss out on him, given the current circumstances.
That really is peanuts in this day and age.
And we would absolutely love to see Duje Caleta-Car rock up at West Ham this summer.
