David Moyes has admitted that he thought Gianluca Scamacca had been ruled offside before he scored West Ham United’s second goal against Fulham today.
The big Italian scored a hugely important goal for the Hammers today – one that put us 2-1 up, after we trailed inside five minutes against Fulham.
Incredibly, West Ham have now won all seven games that Scamacca has started this season.
The 23-year-old moved to the London Stadium from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window for around £35.5 million (Sky Sports).
And Scamacca has already established himself as a firm fan favourite at West Ham.
He has unrivalled passion, determination and commitment, but mainly, he is an unbelievably talented goal scorer.
The Italian proved that once again this afternoon, but it seemed for moment that his goal would be chalked off…

The 23-year-old’s strike was a hugely important one and it gave us a lead in what was a really tight game at the time.
David Moyes spoke to reporters after the match, and admitted that he thought the Scamacca goal had been chalked off for offside due to his muted celebration, as quoted by Football.London:
When I saw it, I thought he hadn’t celebrated because it was offside.
We see what Moyes means. Scamacca’s reaction after the goal seemed like he believed he might flagged offside.
Eventually that wasn’t the case though, and the Italian chalked up his sixth goal in a Hammers shirt in just 12 games. That’s a very good return in my opinion, considering the fact that he moved to the Premier League from Serie A in the summer.
Let’s hope that Gianluca Scamacca keeps banging the goals in for West Ham.
He will undoubtedly go on to be a real hero in East London in my opinion.
