Martin Braithwaite has been ruled out with a knee problem for four months (BBC) after having been heavily linked with a move to West Ham throughout the summer.

In fact, Sport reported that the Barcelona striker rejected a move to to the Hammers.
So it seems as though West Ham have had a lucky escape.

Sport reckon that Barcelona were prepared to sell the 30-year-old for around £16 million.
Thank God David Moyes didn’t bring him to the London Stadium, however.

The Barca hitman now requires knee surgery. He will be out of action until mid-January as a result at the very best according to the BBC.

Many West Ham fans were furious as Braithwaite was continually linked with a move to the London Stadium throughout the summer transfer window.
The experienced Dane is a journeyman striker. He has never really excelled at any club he has played for.
