Sebastien Haller put in yet another top-class Champions League performance for Ajax last night and loads of West Ham fans flocked to Twitter in reaction to his brilliant form.

The 27-year-old striker really struggled during his time at the London Stadium.

He bagged just 14 goals and three assists in 54 games for the Hammers.

David Moyes moved the Ivory Coast international on in January and he linked up with Ajax for just over £20 million.

That is now looking like questionable business to say the least from West Ham.

On the other hand, Ajax have secured themselves an absolutely stunning deal.

He has racked up 31 goals and 12 assists in 41 games for Ajax (Transfermarkt).

The 27-year-old hitman was in sizzling form once again for Ajax in the Champions League last night, scoring both of his side’s goals during their 2-1 win over Besiktas in Istanbul.

Haller has now bagged nine goals for Ajax in Europe’s Premier competition and is level with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Golden Boot.

West Ham fans thinks David Moyes shouldn’t have sold Haller to Ajax

We all know that the Ivorian quite simply didn’t suit Moyes’s system at the time.

It is very frustrating that Moyes couldn’t get the best out of Haller though.

 

We would have a seriously scary strike-force now had we kept hold of the former Eintracht Frankfurt ace.

Haller joining Ajax from West Ham seemed like the right move at the time.

Unfortunately for us though, that decision is looking worse and worse with every week that passes.
