West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the performance of Manuel Lanzini against Rapid Vienna in the Europa League tonight.

The 28-year-old Hammers star looked extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet in the middle of the park.

Lanzini hasn’t been the same player for West Ham since suffering a serious injury back in the summer of 2018.

The diminutive Argentinian ace has looked like his old self of late, however.

Lanzini has been playing in a slightly different role under David Moyes.

The former River Plate man has occupied the deep-lying central midfield role and has been dictating play.

His ability on the ball enables him to retain possession for his team for longer periods.

The South American really does make football look extremely easy at times.

Lanzini was very good when he came on against Wolves at the weekend and he was at it again tonight away in Rapid Vienna.

The 28-year-old has sent David Moyes a very strong message over the past week or so.

We have Manchester City away on Sunday afternoon and it would be no surprise to see Lanzini start the game at the Etihad.

West Ham star Lanzini played a key role in our win over Rapid Vienna tonight. And his performance will certainly give Moyes a decision to make this weekend.
