David Moyes today confirmed the devastating news that West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna is set for surgery that will most probably rule him out until at least the summer.

And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the news.
Angelo Ogbonna has been a crucial player for West Ham so far this season.
The 33-year-old centre-back seems to have found a new level entirely under David Moyes.
Ogbonna suffering a serious injury that requires surgery at this stage of his career, however, is a huge blow for him, Moyes, his teammates and the Hammers fans.
Moyes is well covered in the central defensive department.
Ogbonna’s leadership and organisational skills from set-pieces are almost irreplaceable though.
It is what it is.
The likes of Craig Dawson and Issa Diop will really have to step up now. In my opinion, they are both capable of doing just that.
Moyes told reporters:
“We think surgery will take place over the next couple of days and that is really sad, he has done a great job for us, a great team player. He is someone we love having around and more importantly his performances have been excellent for us so it is a real sad moment for him and us. I think most people who know about injuries and cruciate ligament injuries know they tend to take somewhere around about nine months. There is not a quick return from cruciates, there is a period which has to be taken for recovery time. So I would probably say yes it will be hard for Angelo to play again this season.”
West Ham fans react as David Moyes confirms Ogbonna surgery
The Hammers are flying high in third spot in the Premier League table at the moment, just three points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
We have so many games on the horizon with 13 matches set to come in the next 41 days!
Maintaining our position inside the top four will be far from easy, however…especially with Oggy now ruled out for the rest of the season.
