West Ham fans took to Twitter last night to argue that David Moyes should have signed a player that Crystal Palace eventually got their hands on in the summer.

The Eagles were unlucky not to win against Arsenal at the Emirates last night.

A last minute equaliser from Alexandre Lacazette left the travelling Palace fans with a bitter taste in their mouths.

Crystal Palace really did deserve to win and Patrick Vieira seems to be doing a great job in charge at Selhurst Park.

One thing Vieira has nailed is his recruitment for Palace. And one player in particular impressed the Hammers fans last night.

David Moyes was heavily linked with a move to being Odsonne Edouard to the London Stadium from Celtic throughout the summer (The Express).

The 23-year-old striker ended ups joining Palace instead, however, for around £14 million (Sky Sports).


The young Frenchman has made a great start to life in England with three goals to his name already in just five Premier League outings and 270 minutes of action (Transfermarkt).

Meanwhile, West Ham still have absolutely no cover for Michail Antonio.

It really is quite baffling.

The 23-year-old certainly has all of the physical attributes that David Moyes looks for in a striker.

Surely Edouard would have been the ideal signing for us in the summer? Clearly Moyes didn’t think so.
