The 21-year-old West Ham midfielder could have a key role to play at the London Stadium this season.
Allowing him to leave on loan would have been a crazy decision.

Aside from Coventry, Moyes currently has only Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Mark Noble as central midfield options at the London Stadium.
The young midfielder has really impressed during pre-season so far.
And it could be argued that he should actually be ahead of Noble as Moyes’s third choice central midfielder.
