The Hammers cruised past the Belgian side in the end, winning the game 3-0 at the London Stadium.
West Ham now sit comfortably at the top of our group on nine points after three games – six points clear of second.
David Moyes would have been delighted with the manner in which his team got the job done last night.
It wasn’t pretty at times during the first-half but the result is all that matters now.
There were plenty of impressive performers last night including the likes of Craig Dawson, Jarrod Bowen, Aaron Cresswell and Declan Rice.
The West Ham fans were very impressed with one player in particular, however – Issa Diop.
The former Toulouse man was absolutely brilliant last night.
Signed for £25 million in 2018 (The Express), the 6ft 4in centre-back made a fine start to life in East London.
He regressed badly over the past 18 months, but thankfully, Diop seems to be back to somewhere near his best now.

The 24-year-old looks like a top-class defender and the more he plays, the more he will undoubtedly improve.
