West Ham board’s position on David Moyes is very clear after yesterday’s defeat to Crystal Palace, according to The Athletic.

Moyes is under intense pressure after Palace scored a 94th minute winner at the London Stadium yesterday afternoon.

The Scot quite simply isn’t performing how he should be in his role as West Ham manager.

The Hammers have been truly horrendous in the Premier League so far this season, and our form in the Europa Conference League has clearly papered over the cracks.

West Ham are just two points clear of the relegation zone, and rumours have been circulating that Moyes is set for the chop.

It seems as though that’s not the case though, for now at least…

The Athletic claim that Hammers owners David Sullivan, David Gold and Daniel Kretinsky are still firmly behind Moyes.

If that is indeed the case, I think it will end up being a huge mistake.

In my opinion, the West Ham players proved yesterday that they are not playing for Moyes anymore.

Moyes has proven time and time again that he is not prepared to revert away from his boring, archaic methods, tactics and footballing philosophy in general.

The way that he approaches games is just unacceptable for a West Ham manager in my opinion.

Moyes sets his team up not to lose, before slightly letting them off the leash with 10 minutes to play – Michail Antonio said as much.

It seems as though the Scot’s role as West Ham boss is becoming increasingly more untenable. It’s a slippery slope from here, and in my opinion, things will only get worse.

The West Ham owners are apparently right behind David Moyes though. More fool them I say.
