The Scot returned to the London Stadium as Hammers manager back in December 2019.

And what an incredible job he has done since then.

Moyes took over a West Ham team in real danger of relegation to the Championship.

He kept us up and since then he has completely transomed us as a team and a football club.

Wayne Rooney praises David Moyes

The Hammers finished sixth in the Premier League table last season and subsequently qualified for the Europa League.

We have picked up this season where we left off last term and are currently flying high in fourth spot in the table. Moyes’s men are also sitting top of their Europa League group.

The Scot has made every single West Ham player better.

Both physically and mentally.

And Wayne Rooney highlighted just how good a job David Moyes has done at the London Stadium:

“At Everton, the team were hard to play against and he’s doing the same thing at West Ham. I’d imagine every team in the Premier League will not fancy playing West Ham at the minute.”

That is a huge compliment from Rooney…and he’s 100% spot on.

Not one club will relish playing against us now. That represents quite the shift from the days when West Ham were an easy touch and other teams would love coming up against us.

All credit has to go to Moyes, his staff and the players. The Scot has changed the mentality of the football club as a whole, has recruited well and implemented a really effective playing style.
