Meanwhile Silkeborg lost 1-0 to Belgian side Anderlecht. That was their third defeat in a row amid a run of just one win in seven until West Ham’s hosts picked up a welcome victory at the weekend.
Hammers fans have been loving their European tour over the last couple of seasons.
There was a time when Bolton Wanderers enjoyed trips across the continent during glory days under former West Ham boss Sam Allardyce.
One player who was a big part of Bolton’s past success during their Premier League years was Henrik Pedersen.
The Danish target man was a key part of the Bolton side between 2001 and 2007.
Pedersen enjoyed five wins and a draw in seven games against West Ham during those days.
But Pedersen, now 47, has gone from frustrating Hammers fans to making them happy instead.
Pedersen started and ended his career with hometown club Silkeborg either side of stints with Bolton and Hull City. There was even a loan back to Silkeborg in between too.

Since retiring, the former Danish international runs his own sports pub Målet – which translates in English as The Goal.

Football Away Days posted a video on Twitter saying: “Former Bolton Wanderers striker Henrik Pedersen serving West Ham fans in his bar in Silkeborg, Denmark ahead of their game tonight.”
It comes after Hammers News reported on an absolutely top class gesture from Silkeborg to West Ham fans ahead of tonight’s match.
