Two West Ham targets score in same game during shock FA Cup result

Two alleged West Ham transfer targets scored during one of the shock FA Cup results of the fourth round over the weekend.

Nottingham Forest beat Leicester City 4-1 at the City Ground in the FA Cup fourth round in what was one of the shock results of the weekend.

The Championship side were better than the Premier League outfit in every department of the pitch and throughly deserved to go through to the fifth round of the competition.

Both players are believed to be on West Ham United’s radar according to the likes of The Daily Mail and The Athletic.

West Ham targets shine during FA Cup trouncing

Brennan Johnson and Joe Worrall both scored for Forest during their 4-1 win over Leicester yesterday evening.

Johnson, 20, is incredibly highly rated. He is a number 10 by trade but he can also play on either wing and was recently described as an exceptional talent by former Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton (FLW).

The young ace has been in superb form for Forest so far this season with eight goals and five assists to his name in 30 games (Transfermarkt). He proved his class once again yesterday against Premier League side Leicester.

What an exceptional addition he would be for West Ham. The Daily Mail reckon that Johnson could join the Hammers for around £14 million in the summer.

Meanwhile, Joe Worrall stood out for Forest as well yesterday. The 25-year-old put in a dominant display against the Foxes and we think he’d be a tremendous signing for West Ham.

He has absolutely everything that the Scot looks for in a centre-half. Worrall is well known for being an aerially dominant and a tough tackling central defender.

The Forest ace stands at 6ft 4in tall and is a real warrior. He is exactly the kind of defender Moyes should be looking to sign.

The Athletic claims that Nottingham Forest could be prepared to sell the 25-year-old for just £10 million.

That’s great value. And if West Ham could pick up Johnson and Worrall for around £25 million in the summer, it would be a real coup for the East London club.

Their displays for Forest yesterday proved that they are more than capable of mixing it with the big boys as well.
