Tomas Soucek hints that he’s trying to bring more players to West Ham

Tomas Soucek has hinted that he is trying to bring more Czechs to West Ham United!

The 26-year-old was awarded with the Hammer of the Year accolade last night.

Soucek has been incredible for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium initially on loan from Slavia Prague in January 2020.

His move to West Ham was then made permanent in July last year for around £15 million (Daily Mail).

The Czech Republic international has already established himself as a firm fan favourite at the London Stadium.

The midfielder helped convince David Moyes to bring his fellow countryman Vladimir Coufal to West Ham as well.

What a signing that has turned out to be!

Toms Soucek hints at trying to tempt more Czechs to join West Ham

The 26-year-old was speaking after winning the HOTY award:

“Still there are many other guys (Czechs)…there is space for them to come to West Ham.”

There are a few Czech Republic internationals who Wets Ham have been linked with of late.

Alex Kral (Sky Sports), Lukas Masopust (90 Min) and Adam Hlozek (The Athletic) to name but a few.

Whether Soucek is able to convince those players to join West Ham remains to be seen. Perhaps the more tricky part will be convincing GSB to part with the required funds to bring them to the London Stadium.
