Paul Merson absolutely raved about two signings David Moyes recently made for West Ham when writing his regular column for the Daily Star.
The Hammers boss has recruited incredibly well since returning to the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019.
Moyes has worked miracles in charge of West Ham.
We finished in sixth spot in the Premier League last season and subsequently qualified for the Europa League.
West Ham have proven that last season was not a flash in the pan. We can jump up to fourth in the league with a win against Tottenham today and have started our European campaign with three wins from three games.
What a turnaround from the days of Manuel Pellegrini!
Most of our success has to go down to Moyes’s quite incredible player recruitment.
Paul Merson thinks two recent West Ham signings are ‘amazing’
The Scot has made a whole host of new signings over the past two years and it must be said that not one of them have disappointed.
Merson spoke to the Daily Star and singled out two of West Ham’s recent signings who have impressed him the most:
“They have recruited so well. Thomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have been amazing signings.”
You can’t argue with that.
The two Czech boys have been fabulous additions for West Ham.
They have added some much needed steel and tenacity to our play and their winning mentalities seem to have helped take us to another level.
Soucek and Coufal are already cult heroes at the London Stadium. And hopefully both of them will remain with us for the rest of their respective careers.
