West Ham have a two-week winter break coming up and that should give David Moyes plenty of time to bed in a couple of new signings at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have made a magnificent start to our 2021/22 campaign.

We’re just over halfway through the Premier League season and are sitting pretty in fifth spot in the table, just one point adrift of fourth placed Arsenal.

West Ham are also safely through to the knockout stages of the Europa League and have a last 16 tie to look forward to in March.

The thing is, Moyes absolutely must make at least two top-class signings before the January transfer widow slams shut, if we are to maintain our current form.

Some Hammers fans are getting anxious that five days have already passed in the window without any new arrivals at the London Stadium. In fact, we don’t actually appear to be even close to signing anybody.

We strongly believe that there is no need to panic just yet though…

West Ham boss David Moyes has plenty of time to bed in new signings

First and foremost, the Hammers actually only have three Premier League games between now and the end of the month – Norwich City and Leeds at home and Manchester United away.

West Ham are more than capable of winning those two home games with the current options available to Moyes.

It could be argued that we have more than enough to beat Man United as well!

And secondly, there is a two-week winter break from January 22nd-February 8th.

That means that there really shouldn’t be any rush for the Hammers. We have plenty of time to get things right without overpaying.

David Moyes has always been thorough and done his due diligence when it comes to making new signings. Some call him ‘Dithering Dave’.

We’re happy that he approaches transfers like that though. He hasn’t done bad with them in the past has he! You need look no further than Tomas Soucek, Jarrod Bowen, Vladimir Coufal and Kurt Zouma for evidence of Moyes’s transfer pedigree.

It will be vitally important for Moyes to get his next two or three signings absolutely spot on.

West Ham need a top-class striker, centre-back and left-back. If we get all of those done by the end of the month we will be delighted.

That’s the thing…we still have 26 days to make sure we get the signings spot on. There is absolutely no need to rush things.
